Industrial 3D Image Processing
For many years, CHRONOS VISION has developed numerous applications in industrial image processing (machine vision) as a SICK Premium Partner “Vision Competence & Distribution”. Specializing in fast 3D image processing through the use of dedicated SICK laser triangulation cameras, various challenging projects were implemented in areas such as food portioning, steel measurement, recycling sorting and diverse quality monitoring during production and operation.
Automatic Tire Tread Measurement in moving Traffic
ProContour GmbH developed and produced numerous tire measurement systems for a wide range of public and industrial user groups. The basic principle of the ProContour H3-D measurement system is based on optical tread depth measurement.
The ProContour H3-D jure fully automatically measures the tire profiles of passing vehicles. The system was specially developed for authorities and organizations entrusted with traffic safety duties. For the first time, tread depth could be recorded in flowing traffic.
A Measurement Module for Contactless Tire Profiling up to 120 km/h
CHRONOS VISION was commissioned with the development of a measurement module that meets the high requirements for reliable and precise tread depth measurement at speeds up to 120 km/h. The developed module fulfilled all demands and enabled automatic tire tread measurement using a rotating prism optic, a line laser to illuminate the truck or car tire being driven over, and a 3D laser triangulation camera.
