Space Technology „Hall of Fame“
CHRONOS VISION was honored for its groundbreaking Eye Tracker technology.
In 2015, CHRONOS VISION GmbH was inducted into the “HALL OF FAME” of Space Technology. As only the second German company ever, it received this prestigious distinction for its pioneering Eye Tracker technology. The award ceremony took place at the 31st Space Symposium in Colorado Springs, USA.
The technology developed by Prof. Dr. Andrew H. Clarke and Dr. Friedrich-J. Baartz revolutionized the precise measurement of eye movements. With over 2,000 integrations in laser surgery systems, CHRONOS VISION has significantly improved the outcomes of eye operations.
Dr. Friedrich-J. Baartz commented:
“This recognition is a confirmation of our research and makes us very proud. The integration of the eye tracker has significantly improved surgical outcomes. Even something good can be made even better – we are working on it.”

Nomination - Berlin Brandenburg Innovation Award 2017
Assistance system for aligning toric intraocular lenses in cataract surgery (IOL-Guidance)
In 2017, CHRONOS VISION prevailed against over 130 applicants with its entry “Assistance system for aligning toric intraocular lenses in cataract surgery (IOL-Guidance)“ and was nominated as one of 10 finalists for the Berlin Brandenburg Innovation Award 2017.
Even without being chosen as the winner, this honor encouraged us that with our universal surgical guidance for toric intraocular lenses, we have developed an important and innovative retrofit alternative to existing expensive systems. We are receiving very positive feedback on our now patented solution from providers of toric IOLs and medical device manufacturers.
